      Transfer chute is a unit that is mounted on a conveyor belt system aims to direct and move material from one conveyor system to another.
This unit is equipped with many components that have the function of each to complete the transfer chute, including transfer chute wall, and completeness of the protective wall chute. Chute liner is important to protected wear rate that occurs in the walls of cute.This material consists of several types such as: rubber, ceramic, HDPE, verous and non ferrous material. all of these materials depends on the decision-makers of the conveyor designing.
      A lot of belt conveyor designer that makes research and new discoveries with saving considerations, safety and environmental  consideration.
 Transfer chute has complication failure, but many of this case is comes from chute liner. effected of damaged of chute liners with different impact. Wear of liners material will be impacted  to some of affect :
       1. Belt torn off.
       2. Environmental.
       3.Expenses.

                                        Belt Turn Off

  

  Maintenance team always finding belt torn off caused by release liner and fell down. Why that liners was fell down ? very simple answer but high effect damaged, that is come from looseness of fastening countersunk fasteners . Base of  experience, all that countersunk problem come from  abrasion and looseness.

When we analyse that problem,we are using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis ( FMEA) that is find  on the wear rate is very fast of the liner and countersunk head. 

                                     Environmental Effect

All surface of chute liner become wear out shortly caused by high abrasion of transporting material. If liner material made of high abrasion resistant, that will be take maximum two year. but if low material than will be very soon wear come out .

Every wear out of the chute liner will be effected to chute wall also wear. This wear out of wall chute  very fast because wall chute material made of low carbon steel , than material spill out to the floor. 

Material spill out, look very poor environment on the transfer chute floor, and also potential fire if flammable material. 

                                        Expenses effect 

Basic of economic calculation, both Conveyor Belt torn and Environmental effect, automatically  that will be effect to increasing yearly expense. So Management have to open mind to look at this problem close, analyse, evaluate, and make decision for improve transfer tower on the future.

We have solution for resolve all item above base on our skill and experience on the belt conveyor transfer chute system. special for the chute liner, we have excellent design of impact liner and sliding liners.

This both product will be saving a lot of maintenance cost :

              b.When liners was worn out, bolt can not loose.

              c. Eliminate material build up or bottle neck.

              d. Increase live time of sliding liners.

              e. Reduce spillage
